Les missions principales de l'association Kandili sont les suivantes :
Promouvoir l'agroécologie comme une approche agricole durable qui permet de produire des aliments sains et nutritifs tout en préservant l'environnement.
Défendre le droit à la souveraineté alimentaire des communautés rurales, c'est-à-dire le droit de produire leur propre nourriture et de ne pas dépendre des importations alimentaires.
Restaurer les écosystèmes sahéliens, qui sont menacés par la désertification, la déforestation et le changement climatique.
Préserver les espèces ligneuses en voie de disparition, qui sont essentielles à la biodiversité et à la vie dans le Sahel.
